It was Jack Gilman. You can do a search on QUSA. I know that it didn't live up to his expectations, but I think that was mainly because of the color. I can't remember if he had any info on working with the nylon once dyed.
Dying after stretching is pretty easy. I can't imagine even where to find a container large enough to hold all of the nylon. Garbage can maybe?
