It's an interesting idea and more practical/lower cost than the other alternative, a ShopBot. However, from reading their site, it's clear that this machine is designed for detail carving and it sounds like it may take longer to carve a paddle than it would to do it yourself by hand. OTOH, you don't have to be there or invest any "sweat equity" in the process. You will need to be there to flip the paddle blank over to carve the second side.
I downloaded the software and will try to design a paddle with it.
