I was just messing around in Rhino and decided to show how they are measuring the very front point, it looks like. If you are doing this all by hand, it would be very hard to plot so many points accurately near the leading edge, so I assume that's why they give a separate radius calculation. You can see in the example on the right, I have 50 sample points spread evenly over the chord... it breaks down near the front because of the rapid curvature change. That's why I added the X^4 function which still only uses 50 points, but makes the small X numbers toward the leading edge even smaller, making them bunch up and makes a more perfect shape. You can see my automatic dimensioning in Rhino shows the very leading edge to be accurate at .095".
