Hi Robert,
You might want to consider attaching a loop of webbing to each fender bolt under the hood to create bow tie downs. When in use, the webbing sticks up past the hood with the hood closed. When not in use, the tuck down under the hood. I found a web site which describes and has pictures of what I'm talking about.
