I built a yost-bag and I've been quite happy with them:

I built it for my rec. boat - figuring I wouldn't be able to buy float bags big enough (or at a price cheap enough). (Though, I figured out later that NRS had them priced decently.)

I tested the bag by fully flooding my Dirigo. I had to stand on the side of the cockpit to get it to sink enough that water could really get in. I didn't have any issue with the bag.
