I probably have four or five going through at a time. I'm taking off very little so there is no strain on the planner. I do a continuous feed so one person on one side, another person on the other side and just keep putting strips in. I did find if I tried for too many, they could get crossed ruining a strip or jamming. We generally did enough for three or four boats at a time but it still went quite quickly. I've done all my boats (10 including canoes) at 3/16 of an inch so having all the strips the same thickness really helps prevent sanding through (which creates a whole other set of problems -- surmountable but still a challenge)
