Some people just want to paddle. Some people enjoy building. Some enjoy both. Some of us enjoy both but when it comes to the building we want to create something beautiful, we're perfectionists. The only real comparison between our boats and Greenland boats is that they're long and narrow and float (most of the time)!!! On the other hand, if you ever have the chance to examine a Greenland boat up close in a museaum you'll find many examples of what could only be called perfectionism (is that a word?). I've seen some where the attention to detail, with minimal tools, is just amazing. Problem is it just makes me want to try harder, whatever building medium or tools I use.
