I'm teaching a class carving GP paddles in a couple weeks after we finish the kayak building class and I'd much prefer using WRC if I have a choice since it's so easy to work with. But so far having troubles finding suitable wood. Also the cypress I have is full 2" thickness and I'm not really set up to cut that right now, so have to borrow a friends shop. Still searching for WRC.

(sometime this spring I need to find a bigger motor for the table saw, the so called 1 1/2 hp GE motor is more like 3/4 hp that I have now)
