The boat design does have to look right to the person that builds it, or it'll likely never get finished, but it really is nice to have a very low rear deck. Have to remember that you very rarely get to look at the side view of the completed boat unless you lay on the ground next to it alot The boat will look different from a higher perspective. Just this weekend I put my NDK Greenlander, that I've had for a couple years now, on a high shelf and was surprised at how low it's back deck is. During the season I darn near live in this thing (well almost) and had never noticed that feature until now.
