Get the book. Building my 3. stripper I still turn to it for ideas and advice.

My first stripper was a shortened Guillemot. I set the stations at 11" and it turned out as a great kayak. Im 175 cm. tall, and weigh around 75 kg, so I dont think you will end up in trouble as long as you are using it without a lot of heavy gear. I wish I could put it into the water and load it up with extra weight to see what happens, but it is in the shop for some TLC after 4 years of abuse. It is a loose tracking kayak in the short version, and I added a small fin to stabilise it. Worked out great!
