: Has anyone ever cobbled together an off-season paddling machine? The store
: boughts are thousands of $$$$. I'd be very interested, seeing as how I had
: major rotator cuff surgery to my shoulder a few weeks ago. Doc says no
: kayak till October! This is my third repair, so I think I'll do everything
: he says this time. That's why I decided to build a boat if I can't paddle
: one. My plans from Orca should be here any day. I'm pretty excited about
: it.
Yep, I did that using an old rowing machine, a 4x4 post, a few pulleys, a length or two of rope, a piece of 2x2 and two cans of paint. I will go and look around at my Flickr images to see if I can find the images. I lost my little machine when I got divorced and I have been thinking of building another one like it. Was easy to assemble and felt exactly the same as paddling a kayak.
