: Bill, when I said competitive I really meant socially competitive. I had my
: first race last Sunday in my Red7, there was another bloke racing who had
: a S&G ski that he had designed himself and it got along very nicely. He
: was younger than me and had a history of competing in surf lifesaving
: races so I assume that made up for his boat which would be slower on
: paper. He had some trim issues as well but a build like this presents some
: interesting challenges.
: And as you all know, it doesn't matter how high tech your commercial boats
: are, the crowds are always ogling the timber boats. I miss all the
: attention my CH17 got.

Cool I don't worry about being competitive, ain't gonna happen, too many much younger paddlers in far better shape than me

Still I like fast boats and look forward to seeing what you come up with. I've got a set of Pax20 plans gathering dust here somewhere.
