WELL DUHH!!
Sometimes the obvious just escapes me. :( I have not built the coaming yet and it never occurred to me to just build it now and then wrap wrap the plastic around it. That was what I couldn't figure out.

I want to build one with vinyl covering for show and tell. Had not seriously considered that for this one.... but maybe I should. If it paddles well I am going to be taking it to a Gear Swap for show and tell. That sure would make it stand out in the crowd.
