Hi John,
The last boat I did in my shop was a mahogany runabout approx. 27' long x 10' wide and stood over 11' high on the trailer. Had to replace the bottom as well as refinish the whole thing and rebuild the twin Chrysler Hemi's. Finding plugs in a black painted bottom was "interesting", specially with it being almost 10' wide and 25' long and having 5 tons of boat over your head
Btw, 3500 board ft. of honduras mahogany went into that boat, would be impossible today.

Yes, they can be interesting to find sometimes. Honduras isn't as hard as walnut but I think I only used two cutters for that whole project, something like 10,000 plugs.
