: Full length strips are nice. I would go for a slower setting glue.

: I have used cascamite, aerolite, epoxy etc. They all work but set very hard
: and are harder to clean up afteward. These days I use BALCOTAN urethane
: glue. it comes in slow and fast versions. The slow sets fast enough that
: one can glue a full length strip one side, move on to the other side, and
: by the time one is finished there the first side is ok to strip again. It
: comes in a handy squeeze bottle so is quick to apply to the edge of a
: strip and also doesn't set too fast for a complete strip. It is also
: waterproof and easy to clean up with a scraper.

I don't believe we have Balcotan here locally but we do have some other urethane glues like Gorilla glue. These are typically foaming glues that react to moisture right? Do you have any problems with the expanding glue separating the joint? I have used this stuff working with foam before but not wood. I may have to try a test piece.
