Very similar! The difference being that the inner tube is connected right to the clamp, so you can work it one-handed, and the inner tube puts pressure across a slightly wider area than the rubber bands in your picture. Other than that, you're already using the idea!

How's this rubber band method working for you? Is it faster/easier than when you first posted your question/problem?
