Had to run the BORG today and while there I decided to check the lumber bins. Now please, no lectures!! I don't buy wood there typically. But I do check the cedar from time to time for decent boards. None today.

I saw some beautiful straight grained Douglas Fir. I thought it was clear cedar at first glance. Very nice looking lumber, especially for a Lowes! Over priced like all their lumber. But then I noticed it was on clearance, around half price. I have never worked with it, does is have any good uses? Yost stringers or GP paddles? Or even in furniture because I am sure they will market it down ever lower. Always looking for good deals on lumber.
