Hi Bryan,

If you need the charts, the chart books are cheaper than buying individual charts. Can't imagine why you'd need the charts though, it's not like you'll risk hitting the bottom :) Take a look at the cruising guides for the various areas, these list things like where to supply in the various ports and what services are available. None of this is listed on the charts btw, some is on the chart books, but the cruising guides are still better and have simple maps and overhead views of the ports too.

I'd contact West Marine and see if they might offer sponsorship with books etc, there are several other marine suppliers too but West is bigger.
