: and gun settings dialed in, it was a piece of cake. There was virtually no
: overspray. Use a good grade of Marine spar and stay away form anything

I sprayed (HVLP) my varnish with excellent results. The odd run, which was corrected with the next coat.
However, my buddy used a high quality bristle brush, and foam brush to take out the strokes, and got almost as good results. Think it will be easier next year to just brush.
