Your feet just rest on the skin. I have thought about extending the floor slats to the next frame for a floor board. But after paddling my other SOF it doesn'[t bother me with my feet on the skin. I don't notice it at all.
I am going to put adjustable foot braces in this one next. I just add a couple of thin strips glued on the inside of the upper and lower stringers. Then just drill a hole and bolt the footrests to those strips.
