Just got back from a Baja Sea Kayaking trip with Columbia River Kayaking (see link below). It was such a nice experience that I decided to get back to finishing my Night Heron after a shameful year and half of procrastination after almost finishing it at Nick's great class in Maine.

Okay, so here is the problem:
Shortly after Nick's class, I did my end pours. Put kayak on ends into a bucket of water and everything seemed fine. Until I stored the kayak away and heard a watery sound (!) from one of the ends as well as a drop or two of water coming from the kayak!

So, I drilled my grip holes and drained the water out. Turns out I have two problems now:
- On one end, water came out of the kayak and I now need to figure out a method to put in the end pour and grab loop. There should not be any hole into the main kayak body. Perhaps, if I tilt the kayak on its side, close the bottom grab hole and somehow put the epoxy in under pressure, I might be able to fill the end up? I hear about the One Ocean method, which sounded promising, but I have no real details on how to administer it.
- On the other end, I found that there was no water (good), but also no epoxy when drilling the grab holes. So, it appears, the end pour was not large enough. I could just re-do it, I suppose after closing off the holes.

Any suggestions on how to avoid further issues? How far back from the tips should these grab holes be?
