Yes, but those who tried it are extinct.

One big drawback is that you'd be dead trying to get the hatch/skirt off.

The water pressure that helps collapse the flexible spray skirt will hold your
hatch/skirt tight. Flip your kayak over and try opening a hatch.

Ever see the sinking car where you can't open the door until the inside is flooded.

I'm glad you asked before trying this.

It might be better to focus on what you're working on now!
