IF you could do a Houdini and escape, I don't think it would be pleasant
to be whacked about the middle as you try to climb back in the boat, assuming
rough water would be responsible for knocking you over in the first place.

And along those lines, it's hard enough to self rescue in rough water without
a hard doughnut around your middle.

But it might be fun to watch.

How about making a nice wood strip helmet. Now there's challenge.
