Assuming you have not damaged the polyester, would applying more coats of varnish fix it ?

: For various reasons (all of which are my fault) I discovered a curtain of

: After shedding tears I decided i would take my knife to them and scraped them
: all off. The "do nothing" alternative was not any option.

: It worked "fairly" to "quite well" but now I am left with
: a "fuzzy or furry" surface to my cloth where I scraped it.
