Nick I think uses vertical strips to form the cockpit coaming riser. I just hot glued them to the cutout and yellow glued them to each other to do this. Works well enough. Normally laminated strips are used for SOF's rather than strippers. Others have made composite coamings, but they are trickier as some sort of mold is required.
