: If the bend at the front of the coaming is too severe to make without
: breaking strips, Nick has a nice trick in his first book. Laminate a long
: U shape from the back of the coaming up around the two sides, leaving the
: bow end open. Let dry, cut them off, then create another laminate across
: the bow end to complete the shape. The picture shows where the laminate
: joins.

Ditto that. Here's another way to do it, with a solid piece cut to fit the pointy end of the egg, and with the circumambulating strips running out past the solid piece.
