Is a double paddle canoe technically a kayak? Well, close enough.
I've been planning this build for the last year and a half, but only recently got started on it, having been re inspired by a similar boat in a WoodenBoat magazine article.
It's a Wee Lassie SOF solo canoe, 10'6"x27", about 18 lbs or so. Alaskan yellow cedar frame, with Red Oak ribs. Mostly lashed, but with some epoxy here and there. I used methods and ideas from Robert Morris' "Building Skin on Frame Boats" book as well as Tom Yost's ideas and some of his methods. The WB article helped in places, too.
Anyway, I'm gosh darn pleased with how it turned out, though I have yet to paddle it. Questions and comments welcome!

Yes, the boat is skinned and ready to paddle!
