Epoxy: may have made a mistake

Putting combing risers on my Shearwater 16 Hybrid, I mixed Cel-o-fil with the epoxy rather thickly. Well, the "ketchup" consistency recommended is pretty vague. And, at my previous idea of ketchup thickness, it was still capable of sagging. I guess I focused on the goal of making it sag-free, and mixed it to about the consistency of spun honey -- the white stuff that's thicker than yogurt (or some commercial blister-pack household epoxies). I noticed later that drip/spill areas that had a thin film dried rather dry -- easily sanded to a powder. But, areas that skushed out between the parts are hard -- just not as hard as normal epoxy -- yet, anyway.

So, have I screwed up? How bad? Any mitigation? I sure can't see that I could get it off again on purpose, which is probably a good thing. Thanks
