Almost for certain I will end up making a harpoon and norsaq. Since i have finished my SoF and my Aleutian paddle I am in danger of getting bored.

Everything is new for me in my SoF though in the past two weeks I have clocked up a lot of paddling time.( retired and nothing else to do! :) ) I nearly tipped over today but used my paddle effectively to recover; then while I was congratulating myself on "how clever I was" to avoid tipping over, I got swamped by a wave! :( I only had 2 kms to go so I plodded on and waited till i got to shore before i emptied the kayak. !

I paddle on a large salt water lake (I believe it is said to be the largest in the world)It gets quite choppy but no surf as such.
