Tools: Spring clamp tips

I use spring clamps a lot for one-handed clamping but have found that the metal quickly cuts through the polyvinyl tips. The clamps then mar the wood, especially cedar. I can't find replacement tips anywhere so I thought I would ask if anyone else has found a fix for this.
