Gunwales are the same size. I had them nailed together when I cut to final lingth, shaped ends and cut mortises and marked deck beam posisions.
I am using the instructions from Sea Kayak mag, june 2000 or 2001. This method uses 3 temp braces to get shape and gunwale angle. Next step is making the ends have more flat area betwene gunwales and makeing sure they are straight before pining them.
