For lack of a better word, that's baloney. I've got a friend's relatively new NDK boat in my basement for repairs and its got the same overweight, crappy construction that they've been using all along. They make periodic overtures about improving their quality, but it's all talk. When push comes to shove, they just send out everything they can build and let the distributors sort out the junk from the "acceptable" boats. If you have one that you're happy with, that's great, but it may not be representative of their overall production or you may have a different definition of "quality" than I do. I spent many years as a Q/A Engineer and I'm confident in my assessment.
