The difference is even more marked with my 18' long x 18" waterline beam SOF.
I also notice that a 150 lb paddler gains stability with 100lb of gear while a 200lb paddler who is quite a bit less stable gains nothing by adding 100lb of cargo.
I suspect the difference between heavy and light paddlers might be more noticeable with narrower kayaks, but I would need to look at the figures for a few more kayaks to be sure.
