Here's a good example of the toughness of the SOF kayak. After rolling the truck with the kayaks on the roof, the boats were only slightly damaged. The baidarka had some ribs and a keel stringer that were cracked but not completely broken. Had he been in the middle of a trip, he could have continued to paddle the boats without any need for field repair. I think any commercial or S&G or Strip kayak would have not fared so well...
