Hi all!
First post here. I am in the process of layout and cutting out of the forms for the Gullemot 17. I'm using the offsets from the book, and found via this forum the additional numbers for the forms above the cockpit. A friend of mine who used to have a career in CAD put in all the numbers into CAD and printed out the forms for me. I've checked them against my drawings that I did the old fashioned way, and they seem dead on.
There does seem to be an oddity in form 9, with the waterline #5 coordinates. If I try to draw a fair curve between waterlines #4 and #6, the coordinate point at #5 falls inside the fair curve. If I connect 4,5,6 waterline coordinates, I get a sudden concave area where waterline 5 is.
I have yet to get far enough to put the forms on the strongback and check for fairness between the forms as of yet, but I thought I would go ahead and ask this question in order to see if I am missing someting. I'd love to hear from someone who has built a Guillemot 17 and noticed this!
Thank you,
Brad Tucker
