Indeed... point taken, however... Once you coat the skin, there appears to be much less stretching issues. Its a solid mass and there is considerably less strain on the seam after coating. Welded was the wrong term, I admit. I am not an expert, nor do I claim to be, but with all my wanderings on the web, I have yet to hear of a story of the main seam failing once its coated. Many people use dental floss and I have yet to hear of a seam failing once coated (from what I have read off of two webpages), so it APPEARS to work. But I can most definitely be corrected. I'm not saying it works better or worse than anything else, I'm just saying it works.
