Good point about end pours. I have eliminated them entirely by using softwood wedges glued to the ply sides before hull assembly and planed to the half-angle of the stem, then simply glued. Stronger than ply, lighter than resin.

I also don't bother with glassing. It's easier to handle a light boat gently and IMHO it's not necessary for a ply boat used in flat water if your seams are good.
