As many of you might remember, I paddle my kayak from Miami to Key West every year in order to raise funds for the American Cancer Society. This will be my third trip as one of the Castaways Against Cancer. It takes us 7 days to get there and we paddle an average of 24 miles per day. The best part of this trip is that all the money we raise goes to the American Cancer Society. We will depart on 6/6/09, and arrive on 6/12/09.

This year, the fight against cancer has taken a more personal turn for me. One of my closest friends has been diagnosed with two types of cancer and will begin the chemo/radiation/surgery process this week. This year, I will dedicate the trip to my friend.
