There is no reason not to use the wing stroke, as shown in the diagram, with any type of paddle. Any paddle will give "lift" when used this way. Also there is no tendency to flutter.
Interesting that the stroke is shown from above, the best way to properly show what is happening. The alternative is to show it from the front (not as good) but never show it from the side as so many do.
: Not a word on Greenland paddles though.
The GP is just a wing without the disadvantages.
