: Since I was using fiberglass scraps cut on the bias into strips for the
: outside seam, the edges of my scraps would have frayed if I had just
: applied epoxy to the whole wide of the strip. That could have been sanded
: out, but by using the masking tape under the edge of the fiberglass strip,
: then trimming along the edge of the masking tape with a razor blade or
: utility knife when the epoxy is green, you get a very clean straight edge
: on the glass strip bonding the deck and hull. That clean edge can easily
: be sanded smooth.
