Unless you are selling, or giving away, the boat , wait a month or so.

Paddle it in the mean time.

If you detect any areas getting high wear you can reinforce them with another layer of glass and resin.

Before varnishing, a light sanding, as well as a rinse with water will remove any amine blush that may have developed.

Thin the first coat of varnish, and put it on thin. Otherwise the first coat can take quite a long while to dry--sometimes several weeks. Additional coats dry in a more predictable manner, but you may prefer to use thinned varnish, and apply a lot more coats.
