You should hold the intake of your shop vacuum about one inch away from the grinding tool. Get a top quality shop vacuum with a HEPA filter and a fine filter bag. The vacuum should catch about 99.9999% of the dust you create. Wear your cartridge mast and disposable gloves, too.
