I don't think its too common to thin the first coat of poly no matter what type is being used, but doing so won't hurt anything. In my experience, Zar will soak completely through fabric straight from the can.

: One more question, do I dilute the first Zar coat? I heard that it will stick
: to the nylon better then, is this a fact or just bogus?
