The trick for general woodworking is to wipe it with mineral spirits, because it won't raise the grain. When I've brought this up on the forum here guys like Rob Macks said that they wouldn't use mineral spirits because it might pose some problems with the epoxy, so I'd use denatured alcohol. Solar-Lux isn't supposed to be reduced like other dyes, but most dyes are concentrates diluted with alcohol, so you're safe with epoxy. West Systems Epoxy o.k.s alcohol-based dye for use with their products.

Sounds like a bummer of a project, but it could be worse!
