I cover my SOF's two piece with a separate deck and hull covering due to my covering method, but had the idea awile back that you could use kite string as an inexpensive way to get a strong material at a reasonable price for lashing the deck seam. It tends to be quite a bit less money than fishing line or artificial sinue and it can be very strong, some upwards of 500 psi strength.
