Do some searches over on the qajaqusa.org forum. It's all bent wood over there
Many SOF builders steam bend a one piece coaming, then nail a lip with bronze ring nails. Brian Schultz has written a post on this method. I think I've seen some where the lip is dowelled on. Others sew a rope to the coaming to make a lip. Directions here: http://www.skinboats.org/skinboats/finishing_touches.html
Or you could get out polyurethane glue like Gorilla glue, or your favorite thickened epoxy to glue up a coaming and lip.

: Hi!
: I've seen a few people do the pai all in once piece, instead of multiple
: layers of plywood like the Yost instructions do it. And looking at some
: old drawings I have, that's how they did it too. Does anyone have a link
: to instructions on how to make one? I've already used the plywood for the
: coaming, but it'd be good to know for the next one. And I can't seem to
: find any instructions out there on my own, just by wacking away with
: google.
: Thanks!
