Well, I've completed my endpours....quite interesting! I drilled the holes beforehand and put tape over them to see that the epoxy filled the cavity...some leaked out, stuck to the grass as I had the kayaks leaned on the maple tree! Whether golf or kayak building I manage a divot!

Anyway, two things: verticle craddles for hauling kayaks on a trailer? Anyone w/ experience w/ these who could direct me to the right ones. Also, where do I surf to find fittings for hatches hold downs. I saw a plastic circular fitting w/ a screw in the center which the bungee cord would go around and travel to the next.....this seemed like a good choice but would like to hear from others on securing hatch covers.
