What I am doing is cutting 12' (or whatever) boards into strips. I end up with a couple of knots in the middle of most of the boards. Can't scrap out 4' piece just because of a knot. Thats what I am wanting to do.

Until I find a source for clear lumber that is, but I will still need to a scarf on the end.

Now I am going to look at a rough cut on the bandsaw and then 'finish' the cut on the jig on the wide belt sander or a disc sander if I finally find one.
