: coaming rim should be 3/4" above the deck and thinking a strip of
: 3/4" masking tape around the coaming would set the perfect marker for
: cutting - I put a strip of 1" tape around the coaming and cut. Now
: that the rim is set it's obviously a little high, but I'm not sure many
: others would notice. Cutting it again may affect how the rim (already
: done/not attached) fits so I'm a little hesitant to mess with it. So now
: the coaming is 1" with a 1/4" rim above that.

: Should I go ahead and cut it again or leave it alone? Don't really see a lot
: of rolling in my future, mostly lakes and rivers. If I do cut it, would

I agree with John K .
I've built them from 5/8" to 1" high ,and I prefer 1 ".
I have one Kokotat Ocean skirt that is very hard to get on the 5/8" high one.
I've actually pulled a muscle in my back trying to get it on.
It goes on the 1" one much easier
Absolutly no difference rolling.
