Coaming Height - How high is too high?

Is this the Nick Shade style stacked vertical strips coaming?

If so, it's an easy fix later on if you find the need. Just epoxy in a lip below the one you have and cut it off. Leave it for now and it might be perfect for years. Probably more of an esthetics thing than functional decision.
